What happens during a reading?
Before we start I'll chat briefly with you to find out what you want to know and come up with a specific question to ask the cards. I'll tell you what I'm asking to make sure it's really what you want to know, then I'll focus on that question while shuffling. I'll then place the cards and interpret what they say, with each card answering a different aspect of your question. I read intuitively based on aspects of the images that I'm drawn to in that moment, so the meaning I perceive may not match traditional meanings for specific cards but should directly relate to your situation. During the reading I may ask you questions to help clarify things or make sure I'm on the right track. At the end, I'll summarize what we discussed and answer any questions you may have. My goal is to leave you with practical advice or information you can use.
What not to expect
There are no gimmicks, no tricks, I'm not trying to sell you extra stuff.

I don't do readings for medical or legal questions. Please take those questions to doctors or lawyers.
I don't answer mean-spirited questions. If you are looking for advice on how to swindle, cheat or otherwise harm someone, you won't get any help from me. My readings come from a place of love and light.
I will not lie to you. I'm going to be honest about what I see, both the positive and the negative. Hopefully it's positive, but I won't change my interpretation to a happy one if that's not what I'm seeing. I feel that if there's something negative coming up for you, it's best to let you know so that you can plan how to deal with it or find ways to avoid it altogether. Remember, the future is not set in stone. The cards describe how things will turn out based on the current path. You can always alter course.
Skeptical?
I was too. I got my first deck of cards on a whim and started looking into how to use it out of curiosity. I quickly found that the cards seemed to be giving me actual answers to the questions I was asking, not just turning up randomly. Say what? I had gone in with an open mind but wasn't expecting much. I'm trained as a scientist. I have a PhD and have worked in the scientific field for decades. There's no scientific basis for how tarot works. So I did what I was taught to do and tested it. I asked questions I knew the answer to. I asked about things I didn't know but could easily be verified. I asked about things that hadn't happened yet and waited to see if the cards' predictions were correct. The cards passed my tests with flying colors! The answers I was getting from the cards were consistently accurate, and when asking for advice the insights and suggestions they provided were reliably valuable and enlightening. So I'm no longer skeptical. I don't know how this works, but I'm convinced it does. And I am having so much fun with it!
So if you are skeptical about the tarot, that's ok. I ask only that you come to your reading with an open mind. Take a listen to what the cards have to say, and decide for yourself how much if any of the information fits with what you already know to be true. I will never tell you what to do, only suggest options for you to consider. You are in control of your life. Make up your own mind. Take what makes sense to you and leave the rest.
